NICK BRINEN, AIA
ARCHITECT____EDUCATOR____ARTIST
As an architect and educator, the lighthouse method is a teaching style I have exercised for the past seventeen years in higher education. This approach offers students space to develop the crucial skills of question-seeking, resourcefulness, and risk-taking. As a guide in design exploration, I engage with students at their current level and inspire them to elevate their work to new heights from our very first encounter.
I will be the first to say my courses are not easy, but they are crafted to be engaging, pivotal, and palpable. Furthermore, students are enabled to grow stronger as designers, critical thinkers, and space explorers.
The academic content on this site is separate from my professional work as a licensed architect and co-founder of Studio FIGURE.
