PARSONS | ARCHITECTURE DESIGN STUDIO 1 - Fall 2009 | First design studio for undergraduate architecture students - Instructor: Nick Brinen
This course introduced the skills of thinking and designing through acts of making and drawing. Fundamentals such as line, plane, and mass/void were introduced and the students experimented with these conditions. From their catalogs of experiments they synthesized these conditions into a conceptual final project for an Artifact Museum. The site was an infill lot in New York City where the students developed conditions of vessel, passage, envelope, and thresholds to sequence the program spaces.
